The Shining Star MADA is awarded to an individual who has displayed outstanding dedication or has been responsible for outstanding accomplishments of local significance in the field of multiple births in a local community in Canada. One Shining Star award will be given out to each MBC Chapter annually.

The winner of the 2023 Shining Star award for the Halifax Chapter - Parents of Multiple Births Association Nova Scotia - POMBA - NS is Kellyn MacDonald.

Kellyn has been the glue to our organization.

She keeps the Chapter running smoothly, staying organized, keeping us together in a time of great change, and always being so positive.

Their Chapter's success is due to her hard work and dedication.

She’s a wonderful team player, and supports each member of the executive as well as the members within our group.

The Chapter is very lucky to have her leadership in their organization!
