Happy National Volunteer Week 2022

As we close the National Volunteer Week 2022, we wanted to take the time to recognize the volunteers at MBC from coast to coast across Canada!

We appreciate and celebrate you as volunteers because YOU create a caring, collaborative, and compassionate environment.

This National Volunteer Week was about acknowledging the strong connection between volunteering and empathy. Empathy is strengthened because of volunteering, empathy also creates space for learning, understanding and change.

The pandemic has impacted so many opportunities to connect in person and as things continue to change with easing restrictions, there is a time of change and a need to adjust and proceed with various with comfort levels. Many chapters have started or plan to start running hybrid events and celebrations that allows for some in-person interactions while respecting health guidelines, and this will provide good balance.

If you are currently volunteering with MBC, we want to simply say THANK YOU! You keep the organization going and we appreciate you.

Volunteer Canada reminds us to put our empathy into action: To Observe, Be Curious, Make Connections, Build Trust, and Feed Hope.

Take time to celebrate. Celebrate your own commitment to the community and celebrate those volunteers around you.

Happy National Volunteer Week 2022.
